Aruba rewards the traveler who leaves the resort strip. We fly in, rent a car, and spend the days finding the shallow, glass clear water on the calm side where you can stand waist deep for an hour and not want to leave. The windward side is wild and empty, the national park is best early, and the food away from the high rise strip is the part people miss.
