We are Jamie and Travis, an ER nurse and a merchant marine who built our life around getting out and seeing the world. Our jobs keep unusual hours, and instead of letting that get in the way, we made it the whole point. When we are off, we go. We do not sit by the pool for a week. We rent a car and drive, we find the town worth staying in, we chase the view and the meal and the road less obvious.

We have been to the same places more than once, and every visit we learn a little more. Early on we made the mistakes every traveler makes. The wrong neighborhood, the tourist trap, the day wasted on something that did not matter. We only plan trips to places we have been ourselves, because when you call us with a question, we want to be able to say we have stood right there. The money comes and goes.
